Bringing Back the Treasury Blog!

I've missed this blog! So....I'm bringing it back! It's been a long 6 months, but I'm back in the game and I'm excited about the many different things I have planned! I'll be doing treasuries on Etsy, and collections on Artfire, and sharing them both here! Today's treasury is dedicated to the Etsy Bead Weavers and our monthly competition! This is only the first of my treasuries because there are way to many entries to just do one treasury!

Treasury Loving - Day 2

I've been out of the blogging world for a bit due to migraines - but I'm back for today at least! I haven't made any treasuries myself today, but I found myself in two of them, and I found another one that I just really love! I'm kinda catching up on life and getting back into a routine right now, hopefully I'll be able to take the time to make some of my own treasuries again soon.

Treasury Loving - Day 1

Since Etsy opened the new Treasury East I've been really excited! It makes it easy for anyone who wants to create a treasury. Which is the main reason I had created this blog, I wanted to share more awesome items than I could by simply snagging treasury main's. Since we now have the T-East I'm going to change up the purpose of this blog a little. I'll still end up posting pictures now and again, but for the most part I'm just going to post links to my treasuries and others that I find. It's too much work other wise :P Sorry! Ever since I first discovered bead weaving I've been impressed with the versatility possible. One thing that particularly stuns me are the artists who manage to use their beads like paint. Artists Exposed

One thing I've seen and enjoyed over my time on Etsy is the "Artists Exposed" treasuries that I've seen! I've run into quite a few just browsing the treasuries, and many of my friends have been in them as well! Well now it's my turn! And it's awefully funny how excited I am about it considering I hate pictures of myself... My brother took the picture and he says it's me in my natural environment :P I'm third row, on the right, with my head cut off. (oops) You can see it here until Monday afternoon and here's my listing.

Treasury Loving :)

Last week one of my hemp bracelets was featured in a treasury! I didn't get a chance to promote the treasury while it was active (life's been like that lately) but Karen was kind enough to send me a screen shot so I can show it off anyway :) I'm the bottom center.

I found this necklace in Karen's shop - Mystic Wind. I fell in love with it instantly because I've always loved the big cats! Small cats I sometimes like and sometimes don't, but I've always thought if I was going to be an animal (and not a mythological one) it would be one of the big cats....

Featuring NoraKaren

I've always admired people who can draw and paint. Why? Because my own ability falls FAR short of theirs! Oh sure I can make a tree that's recognizable as a tree, and house that looks like a house, but if you want to get beyond 3rd grade I'm lost. I'm creative and artistic in all sorts of ways, just not those!

This artist is a team mate of mine and she amazes me not only for her talent at painting, but also because of the mediums she chooses to paint in. She paints on SHOES! I could never wear these shoes. There are many reasons for that:

1. High heels and I are a recipe for a sprained ankle.

2. Shoes do NOT stay looking nice on my feet for any length of time.

3. Nothing to wear them with. Seriously. I don't even own a pair of slacks.

4. I'm broke :P

If I had money though (and a bigger place to live) I could picture myself buying some of her shoes just to display!

Of course, as you'll see below, she does some other fantastic painting on other mediums. Check out her shop!

I was your typical young girl (ok I was atypical in many ways, but in this way I was normal) and I always loved horses! I never really got to spend any time around them, but I read as many horsey books as I could put my hands on, and I spent hours dreaming! So I'm sure you can understand why I fell in love with this shop :)

My On-going BNR is up Again!!!

A few months ago I started an on-going BNR, and then I was forced to take a break as things got just plan to insane in my life! But I'm back baby and as excited as ever!

So what exactly IS an on-going BNR? BNR stands for Buy and Replace. The way it works is I have 12 different shops featured. YOU get to go shopping in their shops and buy any one item out of their shops! You come back and tell me which shop and the transaction number, and then I add YOU into the BNR! You will continue to be in any BNR treasuries I snag until YOU get your own sale! Pretty awesome eh?

I just snagged this treasury this morning and we've already had two sales! It's up until Monday at 3:28am - so come check it out and see if there is something that catches your eye!
