Jewelry Series - Bead Woven Bracelets

This is another one that's close to my heart - because this is another type of jewelry that I make! I love bead weaving because it's very relaxing and highly conducive to just letting myself zone out, letting my mind wander free, and letting go of any negative energy I have built up.  I also love that it's so incredibly versatile! I'm always learning new weaving techniques and improving my craft. As I look at the other artist out there I'm in awe of their work and challenged to expand my own line of woven bracelets. So here's one of mine, and a few of the pieces out there that inspire me!

This is one of my favorite pieces -
And everyone else seems to like it too!

This is one of my FAVORITE artists,
Check out her blog too!

Aren't you just captivated by the colors in this?

I love the Love knot!

Loving the colors :)

Jewelry Series - Wire Wrapped Bracelets

This is one of my favorite styles of bracelet - because this is the type of jewelry I first learned to make! I've come a long way since then, both as an artist and a person, but I still love going back to what I first learned.  I also would love to learn how to do more of the awesome stuff that I see others doing and I don't know how to do! I'm cheating a bit today - the first piece is mine ;)

Latest edition of the On-going BNR!

I've been doing an on-going BNR for a little while now, I've lost track of how many editions it's at, especially because it's been about two weeks since I last managed to snag one! I love doing these :) Here's the opening shot of the BNR! Buy in and you'll be featured until YOU get a sale!

Team BDC thinks Pink

Today's the traditional look at my awesome Team Big Damn Crafters (search team bdc on etsy!). I decided, since we're at the tail end of hte month of October, and the month of October is national Breast Cancer Awareness Month, that I'd see what pink items I found in teambdc! I laughed when I found myself at the top of the list :P But here's some more fun items that I found from my awesome team :)

Jewelry Series - Lets look at Bracelets!

I took a break from my jewelry series, partially because I was just tired this week and not on top of a lot of things, and partially because I figured we needed a break from the jewelry series before I moved on! But move on I have and it's time for a look at bracelets!

Guess what? I'm starting off with chain maille again! Have I mentioned that I'm fascinated with this stuff? One of these days I WILL learn! There's so much you can do with it and I'm endlessly surprised by the things I find.  There are so many different styles out there...

Yes, I'm weird...

So with all the asthma in my life, and my ER visit last night because of it, I wandered off on an asthma tangent while browsing on etsy tonight!

Did you know that Amethyst is thought to be good for the lungs?
Good thing I love purple eh?

I may hate my lungs some days - but I'd wear this shirt :P

Yes, I love Spanish :)

For those who want to be all stylish with their inhalers...

And on a lighter note...

(btw, this isn't her main pic,
but you can't READ her main pic :P )

Jewelry Series - Wire-wrapped Rings! Part 1

So this is one I'm really excited about because it's on my list of techniques to learn and master!  Currently holding me back - I need a ring sizer and I should get higher quality wire first...  Anyway, I found so many cool rings that I'm going to do TWO days worth of them!

Jewelery Series - Lampwork Rings

Rings, rings, and more rings! It's interesting as I'm doing this series because I'm finding more and more categories to break up the traditional "ring, bracelet, necklace, earrings" into. This is my third in the Rings series and I have more planned to come! Looking forward to it? You should be :)

Lampwork beads fascinate me and are something that I know I'll never be able to make. So when I first stumbled across lampwork RINGS I was even more impressed! Check out these fantastic colors :)

Jewelry Series - Chain Maille Rings

I'm utterly fascinated by chain maille work and I'm just waiting for the day when everything lines up right and my friend will be able to teach me how to do this!  It looks addicting :P Anyway, here's more rings, chain maille style :)
